Vincennes, Bicknell, Monroe City: we buy minerals and royalties throughout Knox County, the Monroe City Consolidated field and the Devonian wells Siskiyou Energy has been drilling since 2025.
Knox County is the oldest settled ground in Indiana and some of the quieter oil ground, a county of Wabash River bottoms and shallow fields east of Vincennes that had mostly gone to strippers until one operator decided the Devonian under Monroe City was worth a dozen new holes. That is the story of Knox minerals right now: a legacy field, a new idea, and families who inherited a fraction and are not sure whether it still pays.
What produces here. Oil from Monroe City Consolidated and the smaller Knox fields in the Pennsylvanian Jackson sand, Cypress, and Aux Vases, and now the Devonian. Indiana publishes production only statewide, not by county: the Division of Oil and Gas reported 115,486 barrels and 239,449 Mcf for July 2026 and 1,315,471 barrels and 2,887,306 Mcf for all of 2025. The operator in the county records lately is Siskiyou Energy, which permitted Carolyn 1, 3, and 4 as Devonian wildcats in April 2025, Carolyn 5 through 8 in Monroe City Consolidated in November 2025, Carolyn 9 and 10 and Wade Harrell 16 in March 2026, Carolyn 11 and 12 in May, and Carolyn H-1 and H-2 in June, with Carolyn 1, 3, and 4 reported completed as oil wells at 1,540 to 1,665 feet, Carolyn 2 converted to injection, Martha Small 1 converted to Aux Vases injection, and Roger Small 1 completed as a saltwater disposal well. P.O. and G. Operating, with 83 Indiana wells on the state's August 2026 operator list, completed the H Rusk D2-21 gas well in December 2025 and the H Diekman A2-2 gas well at 3,122 feet in June 2026. Knox took nine of Indiana's permits in the first half of 2026, as many as Posey and more than Gibson.
Whatever you own here, producing royalties, non-producing acreage, or an inherited fraction split among family, we will identify it from whatever paperwork you have, value it off the actual wells and activity, and show you the reasoning with the offer. Free, no obligation, and no pressure: if keeping it is the right answer, we will say so. Inherited it? Start with inherited mineral rights in Indiana.
Consolidated in 1954 east of Vincennes: Pennsylvanian Jackson sand, Cypress, and Aux Vases oil at 1,200 to 1,500 feet, and since 2025 a run of Devonian wells permitted to 3,200 feet.
Siskiyou Energy's Carolyn and Wade Harrell program targets the Devonian below the Mississippian pays, and P.O. and G. Operating completed gas wells near 3,100 feet in December 2025 and June 2026.
