Berlin Royalties is a small company on purpose. We are based in Tulsa, the Oil Capital of the World, and our Southern Plains roots go back to before Oklahoma statehood. When you call or text, you reach the people whose names go on the deed, not an acquisitions team working a script.

Who you're dealing with

Berlin is run by Stephen Clayman, a former Marine Corps Captain who worked as a roughneck on an Oklahoma drilling rig before building a career as a landman. Over that career he negotiated and managed hundreds of millions of dollars of lease and mineral acquisitions for Oklahoma operators, supervised dozens of independent landmen, and prepared hundreds of horizontal wells for drilling across the state's major plays.

That matters to you for one reason: when Berlin makes an offer, it is priced by someone who has sat on both sides of the table. We know what operators pay, what the wells around your property are doing, and what your interest is actually worth. And we show you that work with every offer.

How we operate

We buy minerals, royalties, and overriding royalty interests to hold for the long term, for our own account. We are not brokers, we do not flip contracts, and we do not lock up your property while we shop it around. When we sign, we close, and we pay every cost of the transaction: title work, document preparation, and recording. The offer you accept is the amount you receive.

We also publish The Oil Scout, a plain-English journal for mineral owners we have written since 2015, and we contribute to Oklahoma Minerals. We would rather you understand exactly what you own before you sell it, to us or to anybody.

What we believe

Honest and transparent is the only strategy that survives 12 years in this business. Most of our deals come from referrals and repeat sellers, and that only happens when people feel they were treated fairly the first time. If our number is not the best one you get, we will tell you to take the other offer. And if keeping your minerals is the right answer, we will tell you that too.
