Weston County is eastern Powder River Basin conventional oil, and it is a different animal from the stacked pay counties to the west. The Osage discovery dates to 1920. Production comes from Muddy and Newcastle Sandstone at Fiddler Creek and Clareton, from Minnelusa eolian sandstone in the North Area, and from Dakota and Lakota. These are single zone stratigraphic and eolian traps at roughly 5,000 to 8,000 feet rather than a stack of horizontal benches, and anyone pricing Weston acreage on Converse County logic is stretching.

The far western county line does touch the Turner, Frontier, Sussex, and Shannon trends, and True Oil has drilled horizontal Turner tests there. That is real but it is a county edge, not a county wide story, and we price it accordingly.

Roughly 524 wells produce out of about 7,723 drilled, with no permits and no spuds in the trailing two years. Top wells make roughly 400 to 700 barrels of oil equivalent a month. True Oil, M and K Oil, Sunshine Valley, Snowy Owl, Bataa, and a long list of small operators are active.

What Weston offers an owner is genuine fee minerals, mixed with BLM and Thunder Basin National Grassland acreage, in a state with no individual income tax, no withholding at closing, no dormant mineral act, and a statutory rule protecting your royalty from production cost deductions.

We buy small fragmented interests with no minimum and pay all closing costs. Send a check stub or a legal description.

Questions

## Straight answers for Weston County owners

Is Weston County a stacked play like Johnson or Converse County?
Largely no, and we would rather say that than sell you an inflated story. These are single zone stratigraphic and eolian traps at roughly 5,000 to 8,000 feet. The far western county line touches the Turner and Frontier and Sussex and Shannon trends, and True Oil has drilled horizontal Turner tests there, but the county as a whole is not a stacked pay story. An offer that prices Weston County acreage on Converse County stacked pay logic is not being honest with you.

How much life is left in Weston County production?
A long, slow tail. Roughly 524 wells produce out of about 7,723 drilled, with no permits and no spuds in the trailing two years. Top wells make roughly 400 to 700 barrels of oil equivalent a month. That is genuine, predictable, shallow declining income rather than development upside, and we value it that way and show you the decline assumption we used.

My Weston County interest is small and fragmented. Will anyone buy it?
We will. Weston has many small operators and correspondingly small decimals, which is exactly the profile most buyers ignore because the fixed cost of title work and recording is the same regardless of interest size. We have no minimum, we run our own title, and we pay all closing costs. Genuine fee minerals are available here mixed with BLM and Thunder Basin National Grassland acreage, and we will establish which you hold.
